Southold Dance Theater is pleased to announce it will hold auditions on Saturday, September 11th for the company’s 31st annual production of The Nutcracker Ballet, which will be performed at the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend, Ind. on December 11th and 12th. Anyone between the ages of five and adult is encouraged to take part in this holiday tradition, which will feature new choreography by Southold’s Artistic Director, Erica Fischbach. Audition times (EST) are: 1:00 - 1:30 P.M.: Boys Ages 5* - 14 (includes all levels SDT male dancers) 1:15 - 1:45 P.M.: Girls Ages 5*-7 (or current Primary Ballet student) 1:30 - 2:00 P.M.: Girls Ages 8-9 (or current Ballet I student) 1:45 - 2:15 P.M.: Girls Ages 10 – 11 (or current Ballet II student) 2:00 - 2:30 P.M.: Girls Ages 12 -13 (or current Ballet III student) 2:15 - 2:45 P.M.: Girls Ages 13 -14 (or current Ballet IV student) 2:30 - 3:00 P.M.: All Adults Ages 15 + (Men and Women) Auditions will take place at Southold Dance Theater, located in the Colfax Cultural Center at 914 Lincoln Way West in South Bend. Participants are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to audition in order to fill out registration forms, and should also bring a small picture and $15.00 registration fee.
