The choir, along with Vesper Chamber Orchestra, invite community singers to join them in a performance of Mozart’s Requiem  and Haydn’s Mass in time of War.  These towering 18th Century composers, who between them defined the classical era, left immense legacies of sacred choral repertoire. “Papa Haydn” created a style characterized by simplicity, sincerity, and delight. Hints of Bach and Handel find their way into Mozart’s masses, particularly his Requiem. And where Haydn composed cheerful sacred music, Mozart tended to imbue his with the melancholy that not only reflect his personality, but also made his music so timeless. =0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:7:30 p.m.
